Battelle today announced its co-sponsorship of the BioOhio 2001 Conference, Nov. 6 and 7 at the Marriott Northwest in Columbus, Ohio. The BioOhio 2001 conference theme is "Economic Development & Biotech: Regional, State, and National Perspectives."

Conference topic areas include:

  • Trends across the United States and the world
  • A legislative vision of technology development in the state of Ohio
  • Biotech financing

    Ric Slauter, Director of Business Development for Battelle Pharmaceutical Products sees this forum as, "an excellent opportunity to come together with local and regional biotech industry professionals in support of biotechnology and life sciences in the state of Ohio."

    Battelle continues to sponsor the efforts of the Edison Biotechnology Center, which coordinates the event.
