Columbus, OH-Martin Inglis has joined Battelle as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

Inglis joined Battelle after a 32-year career with the Ford Motor Company, most recently as Group Vice President, Business Strategy. Previously, Inglis served as Chief Financial Officer; Corporate Vice President and Head, Ford North America; Corporate Vice President and President, Ford South America; and Head, Global Product and Business Strategy.

Inglis continues to serve on the Board of Directors of Carpenter Technology Corporation, a leading manufacturer and distributor of specialist alloys and various engineered products. He has served since October 2003.

"Martin's experience has a strong grounding in financial management, operations management, and strategy development," said Battelle President and CEO Carl Kohrt. "In turn, he has a broad background in international business including Asia, Europe, and South America.

"I believe Martin will be an important addition to our leadership team. He has tremendous knowledge of the industrial marketplace. Also, his strong experience base in financial management blended with managing operations will serve Battelle well across our diverse markets and business interests."

Inglis holds a bachelor's degree, with honors, in Business Economics from Strathclyde University in Glasgow, Scotland.
