Internationally recognized as a leading provider of comprehensive chemistry services to industry and government, Battelle supports all aspects of environmental, regulatory, pharmaceutical, product development, and materiel handling chemistry needs.
OUR APPROACH
Accuracy, precision, and reliability of data coupled with client-focused staff are paramount to Battelle. Our world class chemistry capabilities support a phenomenal range of client needs—from environmental forensics to determine legal accountability to toxicogenomics to determine early biomarkers of toxicity. A center of excellence for the analysis of anthropogenic organic and metal contaminants, our staff has performed ultra trace-level contaminant analysis for hundreds of environmental projects in the past decade for government and private sector clients. As one of the only multidisciplinary centers for polymer research in the world, Battelle combines chemistry capabilities with expertise across all scientific disciplines to improve the properties of existing materials and develop new products.
Our chemistry services have helped the National Toxicology Program (NTP) develop and validate new testing methods that include target-specific mechanistic data—and the National Cancer Institute (NCI) assess the safety and efficacy of new cancer therapies. As co-authors of the NOAA National Status and Trends analytical methods, Battelle’s chemists helped form the basis for the trace-contaminant analytical procedures used in most major US environmental monitoring programs.
